Safety is a feature, not an afterthought

Players keep coming back when routes feel exciting and safe. A clear safety checklist improves completion and lowers incident reports.

Before leaving home

• Check weather and route conditions.
• Prefer daylight windows for first-time routes.
• Share route and ETA with a contact.
• Carry water, battery pack, and pen.

At route start

• Read all waypoint notes before moving.
• Respect private property and local restrictions.
• Use sidewalks and legal crossings only.
• If a location feels unsafe, skip and report it.

At physical cache points

• Open gently and keep area tidy.
• Sign ledger; do not remove ledger pages.
• No food, no liquids, no sharp or unsafe objects in trade pool.
• Re-hide exactly where documented.

After completion

Submit condition report if container is damaged, wet, missing, or unsafe. Fast reporting protects future players.
